Yarn Machine Playblast

Finally got this to work. Apparently even though it doesn't show up in windows media player or quicktime, it contains information that YouTube can read.
This is a quick model of the machine which connects threads from smaller spools together so that they can be wound onto a larger cone. 20 spools per cone.

turntable camera movement

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbNRon2n_Z4

this tutorial shows you really quick how to use the turntable camera effect. It very simple and can add some nice camera movement to your animation.

Now the turntable makes the camera move around the object. If you were looking for the opposite where the object itself spins around its central axis you would use what is called an expression.

Your expression editor is located under you windows table >> animation editor >> expression editor.

I will show you guys how to write and use expressions on Wednesday. Feel free to get acquainted with them in the mean time via the internet.
